Is it good feng shui to put a tv above a fire place?
We are remodeling and my husband wants to put a flat screen tv above the fireplace, I am not sure whether I like this idea or not. I have always had a mirror above the fireplace..
I dont know anything about feng shui, but i do have a flatscreen tv above my fireplace. I installed a large 20″x 32″ picture over the front of the tv. it has a 6″ deep frame that allows it to completely cover the tv which projects out 5 ” from the wall. the picture is hinged at the top and has a hydrostatic arm to hold it up when opened (like the arm that holds open the hatch door of a mini-van). when the tv is off and the picture is down, no-one can tell there is anything behind it. I dont know why you couldnt mount a mirror over the tv following the same guideline.

We have demolished a closet, and lighting can be inserted, and would like to work on the floor and this results in the removal of carpets and wood floors laying. The basic advice to go behind the bricks of the fireplace … And I've already started rmove sockets throughout the room. Is there a way to remove baseboards without proof of brick?

Help! The renovation of the brick chimney of the 70s.?
My wife and I bought a 1978 colonial, with a natural fireplace. Brick house is a bit dated and talked about giving it a facelift. We have considered tile, stone, plaster and drywall installation thereof to limit the brick. Not We have no idea about the cost – if we could do it ourselves (very little experience with home repair) or if we have to subcontract. We want to avoid painting the brick. The second issue is the mounting of a flat screen above the stack. We do not want exposed wires and are concerned about whether the height is too high to enjoy (Which is stretching the neck) the viewing experience? What kind of installation works best? The estimated cost?
The best solution is a fake rock, Lightweight, affordable and simple enough for the average homeowner should be able to implement them. You can always tuckpoint brick, and even change the paint color. provided that the flat screen, run the power behind the wall (demo) before starting the coverage in your new home. If you have not installed a fireplace, this will help to deflect the heat of the LCDs. Some people recommend that you install the TV above the fireplace in the heat, and I'm not 100% sure if it is true, but that could void warranty. But again many people have always
We recently remodeled the fireplace with fence posts and stone surrounding the fireplace opening. Is a fireplace wrought iron look good with this? Have you ever seen a cast iron fireplace? And where the hell I can buy one?!
What we envision is old thick piece of wood fell from the fireplace with wrought iron supports under it. If you know of a welder, you could do something that is unique! Search and ravens you'll see what I mean. Good luck!
