Does any one know how to repair a slice into a laminate floor?
I dropped a heavy pizza cutter on my laminate floor and it caused a good gash into the flooring. How would a person get that out of the floor?
You could use a wood/laminate filler its up to you.The proper way is a little detailed but easy.Take a yardstick and make a x from corner to corner of damaged plank .Take a drill and drill a hole about an inch from each of the four corners.Now set your depth on circular saw for the depth of the laminate and cut out the x.Now you will be able to remove all 4 sections without damaging the surrounding pieces or more importantly the tongue and grooves of those pieces.Now you have a missing plank in your floor.Take a full piece of laminate and with a carpet knife cut off the bottom half of the groove on the 2 sides.Take a glue and apply to the tongues of the surrounding pieces and your replacement piece.Slide the tongues in to the surrounding pieces and the top half of the groove should fit properly in place.Apply some weight to the piece and wait 24 hours.Your done.

can you freeze punch to make ice in a metal cookie cutter?
I am doing a wedding for my brother.. he wants me to use leaves, acorns, and pumpkins, for the ice in the punch… if i wrap aluminum foil around the cookie cutter to hold the punch in place will it freeze to the side or come out easy! ??
i have over 40 of the cookie cutters!
Honestly? No. No matter what you do, water is too, well, fluid, to be contained by aluminum foil. There is a way to seal them using some gel icing….first you place the cookie cutters down on a flat cookie pan, then seal all around the outside using the gel….weight them down and put in the freezer to freeze the gel. Now, using iced water or punch, remove the weight and pour the water in 3/4 of the way to filling the mold, then refreeze. Its a crap shoot, though, as the gel will sometimes loosen. After, to loosen them from your mold, just set the pan on a warmed surface, and let a little bit melt…they’ll come right out. Immediately refreeze in single layer so they don’t stick together.
There are some really neat ways to do such things…one that works the best is to use candy molds. They are relatively inexpensive…and have the added bonus of being widely available! Afterwards, you can always have an adventure in making your own candy.
Actually, for a wedding where fall is the theme, they can add a load of charm by using them for making candy to put on the tables or for your favors!
I just bought a new blade and a slot in the handle that shows part of the blade so that you can use as a seatbelt cutter. (This is a rescue knife, I'll take an EMT class) has a slightly curved blade on the inside, but not the ridges. My question is there any way to tune my house for free? I want to be strong if I have no problem cutting a seat belt or something, if I have to.
If the knife is designed for a tape cutter that cuts the slot belt already sharp.Since this area should be used only Emergency my advice would be to leave him alone, because it will be almost impossible to tune without some kind of tool sharpening right now do not know. How ever the main knife, I would recommend either of these two systems. Lansky sharpening kit – but make two versions, standard kit and kit diamonized. The kit normally sells diamonized $ 49, but is on sale at the Academy of Sporting Goods for $ 25. Be sure and get the version diamonized. The Lansky system a guide that allows you to exactly the same angle on both sides of the sheet. I'm a great job. The other system is a set of sharpening stones diamonized (4 different grains) that can be purchased at the port of loading about $ 15. Then you've got a guide attached to the knife edge that makes both sides of the bezel is the same. It runs on the same principle as the Lansky system, but only using a different method to do so. This guide is a knife made by the company and Buck knife is the fastest and easy to use. But to finish on the blades they will get sharp hair is to use a stick ceramic or steel flesh touching the edge of the blade after getting through the stones to thin bezel. Then when the blade after use seems boring, you can hit in the ceramic or steel pole and meat shaving again. With the glue and make your knife steel last forever and save time for you. Most of the time over a knife blade is not really in need of clarity when it comes to "boring" but really needs more than the tip of the blade "recovered" back up with sticks and steel to do so.

Hi I am looking for a good dive knife, but must match the following requirements: less than $ 60 right inside calf Maintanence low mount has a serrated edge has a smooth edge is a line cutter comes with a holster
Maintenance is for you. Diving knives are usually made of carbon steel, and have not in the property, due to the requirements of stain resistance. Knifecenter has a lot of them here-http: / / www.knifecenter.com / knifecenter / index / divedex.html Given your budget, I think the best option for diving Kershaw knives. Made of stainless steel 420J2 not much of a headline on board, but diving is knvies very specific purposes, so it will be, I suppose, after all, is not planning in reducing the ancient books of marine plants. It would be great if Santino had his own interview segment or talk show?
It will be called "Ristorante Santino Marella." On the whole, will be a panel discussion (with the pizza or lasagna served), a beautiful setting, a server, a fat ball of lead, and some pizza cutters and Butcher knives. So while someone attacks Marella is going to use the knife or cutter or hitting people with the help of the chef and the server.
It sounds good, because I want to rant Marella with his Italian accent, but I want someone like Michael Cole and Coach of the interviewer. When the rock was interviewed by them, it was funny, Marella is not even close to the rock, but it would be fun to see someone walking Marella.

Size
Scroll saws are referred to by throat. This is the distance from the blade to the rear frame of the saw, which determines how large of a piece of wood can be cut. The smaller saws have a throat of as little as twelve inches, while the larger commercial saws are approaching the thirty-inch mark. Industrial saws have been used before computer automation to make even larger objects by hanging the top mechanical linkage to a ceiling providing indefinite throats. Scroll saws vary in price from under a hundred dollars, to close to two thousand dollars. The more costly ones are generally much more accurate and easier to use, as the vibration in the machine is minimal. hello Uses
Scroll sawing is a very popular hobby for many woodworkers. The tool allows for a substantial amount of creativity and takes comparatively little space. In addition, many scroll saw projects that require little more than the saw itself, reducing the investment in tools. One main purpose for using a scroll saw is the ability to cut intricate curves and joints, very quickly, and with great accuracy. They can also be used to cut dovetail joints quickly, and are a common tool for thicker intarsia projects. Using a very fine blade, the saw kerf is all but invisible.
Scroll saws are comparatively safe meaning that children, under close adult supervision, can enjoy creating crafts, and realizing the pride generated when completing a mechanical task. Inadvertent contact between the blade and the operator’s fingers is unlikely to result in serious injury. Mode of operation
There are different types of scroll saws. The most common design is the parallel arm in which a motor is attached near the back of the arms, and the two arms always remain parallel to each other. The C-arm has a solid “C” shape with the blade being mounted between the two ends of the “C”. The parallel link, used by Excalibur and DeWalt, has rods in the upper and lower arms that are “pushed” by the motor to move short (about 4 inches 100 millimetres long) articulated arms and the end which hold the blade. The rigid arm scroll saw, which was very popular up until the 1970s, but is no longer made, has a single-piece cast iron frame. The blade is attached to a pitman arm on the bottom which pulls the blade down, and a spring in the upper arm pulls the blade back up again. This resulted in a significant weakness in that tension on the blade changed with every stroke of the blade. Modern scroll saws are all “constant tension” saws. Uncommon and larger industrial type scroll saws, included spring or vacuum sprung scroll saws, didn’t have arms. Instead they had the reciprocation mechanism at one end of the blade and a tension device on the other to return the push stroke, their advantage being the tension/spring device could be hung from the ceiling of a building and large parts that otherwise could not be cut on arm-style scroll saws could be cut, e.g., aircraft frames of the past. This single-sided force of reciprocation had its advantages (speed, size of object) for rough work but had its limitations for delicate work. Blades
Hand-operated scroll saw, around 1900
Scroll saw blades come in many different types. With the exception of blades made for very light duty saws, typical blades are five inches long. The major types are:
Skip tooth (or single skip tooth) which has a tooth, a gap then another tooth;
Double skip tooth (two teeth, a gap then two teeth);
Crown or two-way which has teeth facing both up and down so it cuts on both the down-stroke (as with all other blades) and on the up-stroke;
Spiral blades which essentially are a regular flat blade which is twisted so that there are teeth sticking out on all sides.
Metal cutting blades using hardened steel;
Diamond blades (a wire coated with diamond bits) for cutting glass.
Blades come in many different sizes ranging from #10/0 for making jewelry (about the size of a coarse hair) to #12 which is like a small band saw blade.
There is also a variation called a reverse tooth blade. On reverse tooth blades, the bottom 3/4″ of the teeth are reversed (point up). This helps reduce splintering on the edges of the bottom of the cut. It does not clear sawdust out of the cut as well, making the cutting slower, producing more heat in the blade which reduces blade life, and making burning of the cut more likely. Reverse tooth blades are especially useful when cutting softwood, and plywood such as Baltic birch plywood. External links

Can a CNC router equipped with a laser or plasma cutting clean-cut diamond plate aluminum?
I like to cut some conceptions diamond plate aluminum and was anxious to see if a CNC router with a plasma torch or laser could do the job. I know a waterjet works pretty well, but the price of the machine is not in my budget. Thanks!
Due to the high thermal conductivity of aluminum, it takes a great amount of energy laser cut, so if you can not afford running water, do not think you can afford laser cutting aluminum either. Plasma, but it should work well. and relatively low cost systems, or if the volume is low, might be more profitable to send utility knife, water jet, and not tie the money in a machine even a little CNC plasma cutting will probably cost several thousand dollars.
