Resurrect Dead NiCd Battery Compaq Presario CQ60?
Hello dead NiCd measured at 0 volts.
No matter how long you put him in charge, only woudn't take any position?
Is there a known way to revive this battery? Noncommercial?

It is rare see a true * * ZERO (even a bit of tension that disqualifies the following explanation, so I'm sure you are here) Due to insufficient of cells in a battery. If the charger, you have an internal circuit open circuit or other problem Charge the battery or battery regrets that it will be resurrected. a) First, check the charger to make sure it is, in fact, provide a voltage. The only correct way would place the meter in diameter during charging to ensure that it was holding a reasonable floating voltage (must be a fair bit above nominal voltage of the battery.) Ideally, you want to measure current with an ammeter in series, but is not as easy to pick up in most cases. If you can not easily measured with the battery, at least have a yard boot to see if you can get float voltage. There is no guarantee that the measure only (may be brought down to zip, even in a light load), but better than nothing.
b) You say "battery" and not "cell." If it is a Presario CQ60 battery of some sort, prices may well have internal circuits (some contain "smart" electronics) – or at least should have temperature threshold device (thermal switch) to avoid overload during the dangerous or use. The circuit breaker internal load or * * may have failed. In addition, is a true "battery" cells are glued together internally. It is rare that these links are broken straps (they are usually welded cells), but hey – anything is possible.
c) Do not assume that the battery itself is not (again, if it is not only one cell). There may be lost an internal connection or may be dealing with a bad external connection.
