DIY Basement Project Completion
Well first let me say that anyone can do all the work themselves if they are super ambitious and eager to learn all trades! But still I do all the work myself! Some stages are simply better left to other professionals in the trades In order for us!
For beginners who have never done much remodeling house at all, this is what I recommend you try to do for yourself during basement remodeling
1.) All frames
2.) All utilities (except for connections in the center of the case or the burden of the house!) Note: Power must be inspected by an inspector approved electrical codes!
3.) All piping, except drainage system and pressure ejection real tie-ins (must be done by a professional) Note: Many municipalities require plumbing to be done by a plumber!
4.) All adjustments (base, doors and windows, chair rail crown, door panel plant and ladder
5.) Tiles (bathrooms, bars, areas outside the door)
6.) Installation Bar Cabinet
7.) Bathroom vanity sets, bathroom accessories
8.) Bathroom
9.) All closet shelves
10.) Door handles installation
11.) Insulation in all exterior walls
12.) Home Theater Wiring
13.) Top of the library, the door of music tail pool built-ins, box-build-ins
14.) All lighting (recessed, wall, equipment area)
15.) Painting or staining
What I recommend ROOKIE NOT try to do for themselves:
1.) Drywall Hanging & Finishing (CALL A PRO!) Must be perfect and that is it not right the first time trust me on this case!
2.) Discharge of sewage and drainage systems Bath Association. (Call a plumber Pro)
3.) Electrical box "Connections" (call this a professional job is dangerous if not fully understood)
4.) Carpet (carpet must be installed and "lying" correctly so as not to "relax" and set up)
5.) Install code approved windows and doors external evacuation. (This requires cutting through solid walls companies to install correctly. Recommended allow a contractor Pro)
6.) Scope test systems water (which is hard work and physical disorder and should be done properly to ensure they never get the water back into their newly finished basement Note: Only they need a system of this type are installed in worrying about it! You know who you are!
Well, I hope this gives you an overview of what should be rounded decided to do and what you need to hire a professional contractor to perform for you! This is not rocket science, but something is definitely better left to others with more experience to handle for us!
