You may well think you need better closets or more storage areas to strengthen your home organization. This isn’t always necessary. Of course more space is nice, however by implementing a practical system you can improve your current space. Just a few shelves or other storage tools can make an impact when you learn how you can use them to improve the space.

Start by making a list of things that you need or want to organize. Or focus on trouble spots within the house or closets and inventory those spaces. Contemplate how this space can be better utilized and find bins, shelving and accessories that will help you develop a more useful space.

While shopping for items to assist you with your storage area find out precisely what you are purchasing. Find out if the necessary hardware is included. Figure out if this is something you can assemble and put up on your own, otherwise make sure you know someone who will help you.  Most of these items are pretty easy to assemble and install, but if you want to install a shelf that will be holding a lot of weight you want to make sure it is properly installed.

Primary locations you may want to evaluate include the bathroom, the kitchen and primary closets. Begin by evaluating the places you make use of quite often. Adding shelves in specific places in the bathroom or kitchen can make the space more functional and enable you to store more useful items in these areas. Outfitted closets with good storage components and shelves makes a world of difference. You may be surprised by the amount you can easily fit in a well put together closet.

Take a look at brochures or neighbor’s homes for ideas on organization. Once you have some ideas choose a strategy that can benefit you. Determining a strategy that actually works for you is the optimum approach to lasting results with home organization.

When Will Thermal Wallpaper Come to the US?

As someone who is very much into saving energy and ensuring that any home remodelling includes thinking about installing insulation behind the scenes as well as the overall aesthetic look, I subscribe to several forums and websites from around the world that focus on being environmentally friendly.

Some of these are in the UK, and one thing I have noticed over the last six months is the increase in people talking about thermal wallpaper and how good it is. One that gets a lot of mentions and that I have become increasingly interested in trying out is Wallrock Thermal Liner Natural, but can I find it in the US? Can I heck! Another one that’s popular in Europe is Sempatap, then there’s graphite insulating lining paper as well, so I diligently searched for these products too but I am struggling to find any thermal wallpapers in the US – at all. Period.

Maybe we are behind the times, maybe we just need a bright spark to start importing these types of products into the US or maybe people in the US just aren’t interested in saving energy? I don’t know the reason but these seem like great products that would really help Northern US homeowners save money. I’m close to biting the bullet paying the exorbitant shipping costs to try out these thermal wallpapers…..when I do I’ll let you know how well they work.

How to Make Newspaper Plant Pots

I know this might be a little bit off topic, but I just discovered a wonderful site that explains very clearly how to make newspaper plant pots. This has been so helpful to me, not least because I don’t have a great deal of money and I simply love gardening and growing. This is a hobby I do at home because I don’t work. What I love about these pots is that they are completely biodegradeable and the plant roots will grow through the sides of the pots without the plants needing to be potted on into larger pots as they get bigger. I simply transplant the whole pot into the allotment or into a proper container and then let them get on with what they do best….growing. Most of us simply throw our newspapers away and don’t put them to good use, but this is a fabuous way to recycle them and save yourselves money at the same time. In a matter of minutes I produced well over 20 plant pots (flower pots if you like), and they have worked perfectly. I strongly recommend everyone tries this for themselves and stops buying those horrible plastic plant pots that have to be washed and disinfected at the end of every season, and never rot down if thrown away. I so love the site I found this article on :)
