I’d been looking for a replacement kitchen range hood insert for a while, and I wasn’t happy with the range in my local stores. I had never thought of buying a DIY item online – but this time I took the big step and had a look around.

In the end I bought the Broan PM390 Power Pack Range online for about 20% less than the price in my local hardware store. And all without the hassle of leaving home, driving around and shopping at different home depots and department stores. Its not just the time and money saved, to be honest I also get a bit stressed when in busy shopping malls, but maybe its just me?

What really sold me on online shopping though – was that I could compare prices, models and brands side-by-side. I could also read real customer reviews. I’m amazed, but also grateful, at the time that some customers put into giving feedback on products they have purchased.

For someone doing this themselves there was the big advantage of actually hearing the issues involved in installing the various kitchen range inserts available, and which model were, and more importantly were not suitable, for my kitchen’s layout.

So next time, I will divinity be looking online first when I want to buy some other home remodeling items!
